Check Your E-mail Settings

When setting up e-mail on POPP's network, please verify that all e-mail users have the correct e-mail settings. If you do not have the correct e-mail settings, your e-mail may not work correctly in the future.
If your e-mail settings are incorrect, please adjust the e-mail settings using the instructions below.

NOTE: If you are converting your e-mail from another provider, do not delete your current e-mail account until all of your e-mails have been saved to your computer from your current provider’s server and you have verified that e-mail is routing through POPP.

Outlook 2010, 2013 or 2016
• Click on File tab and click Add Account
• Select Manually setup, then click Next
• Select POP or IMAP, then click Next
• Under POP and IMAP Account Settings, enter the required information:

  • - Your Name: your name or company name
    - E-mail Address: your full e-mail address
    - Account Type: POP3 or IMAP
    - Incoming Mail Server (POP3 users): pop.popp.net
    - Incoming Mail Server (IMAP users): imap.popp.net
    - Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.popp.net
    - User Name: your full e-mail address
    - Password: passwords are case sensitive
    - Check Remember Password (optional), then click Next

• Click Finish

Outlook 2007
• Go to Tools and scroll down to Account Settings
• Click the E-mail tab and click New
• Make sure the option for Microsoft Exchange, POP3 is selected, then click Next
• Select Manually Configure, then Next
• Select Internet E-mail, then click Next
• Under Internet E-mail Settings, enter the required information:

- Your Name: your name or company name
- E-mail Address: your full e-mail address
- Account Type: POP3 or IMAP
- Incoming Mail Server (POP3 users): pop.popp.net
- Incoming Mail Server (IMAP users): imap.popp.net
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.popp.net
- User Name: your full e-mail address
- Password: passwords are case sensitive
- Check Remember Password, then Next

• Click Finish

Outlook Express/Outlook 2000
• Go to Tools
• Select Accounts
• Highlight your e-mail account by clicking on it
• Click on Properties (on the right)
• Click on Servers tab in the new dialog box
• Incoming Mail (POP3 or type in IMAP):

- Incoming Mail Server (POP3 users): pop.popp.net
- Incomoing Mail Server (IMAP users): imap.popp.net

• Outgoing Mail (SMTP):

- smtp.popp.net (non-mobile users); or
- mobilesmtp.popp.net (mobile users)

• Click OK, then Close

Outlook 2011 (Mac Only)
• Click on Outlook at the top
• Select Preferences
• Select Accounts
• Select '+' on bottom and select "e-mail"
• Enter e-mail address: Full e-mail address
• Enter Password: password is case sensitive
• Enter Username: Full e-mail address
• Select Type: either IMAP or POP3
• Enter Incoming Server (IMAP User): imap.popp.net
• Enter Incoming Server (POP3 user): pop.popp.net
• Enter Outgoing Server: smtp.popp.net
• Click "Add Account" Outlook 2010
• Click on File tab and click Add Account
• Select Manually Configure, then click Next
• Select Internet E-mail, then click Next
• Under Internet E-mail Settings, enter the required information:

- Your Name: your name or company name
- E-mail Address: your full e-mail address
- Account Type: POP3 or IMAP
- Incoming Mail Server (POP3 users): pop.popp.net
- Incoming Mail Server (IMAP users): imap.popp.net
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.popp.net
- User Name: your full e-mail address
- Password: passwords are case sensitive
- Check Remember Password (optional), then Next

• Click Finish

Outlook 2002/2003
• Go to Tools
• Select E-mail Accounts
• Select Add New
• Select POP3 or IMAP
• Incoming Mail Server (POP3 users): pop.popp.net
• Incoming Mail Server (IMAP users): imap.popp.net
• Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): :

- smtp.popp.net (non-mobile users); or
- mobilesmtp.popp.net (mobile users)

• Click Next
• Click Finish

Windows Mail (Microsoft Vista)
• Go to Tools
• Select Menu > Accounts > Add
• Select E-mail Account, then click Next
• Enter Display Name
• Enter E-mail Address
• Select Incoming e-mail server type: POP3 or IMAP
• Incoming Mail (POP3 users): pop.popp.net
• Incoming Mail (IMAP users): imap.popp.net
• Enter Outgoing Mail: smtp.popp.net
• Enter E-mail Username: full e-mail address
• Enter Password: passwords are case sensitive
• Select Remember Password
• Select Download E-mail Now
• Click Finish

Mac Mail
• Select Mail
• Select Preferences
• Click on Accounts on the top
• Select the '+' on the bottom of the column on the left
• Select Add Other Mail Account
• Enter Full Name: What you wish to display on outgoing emails
• Enter Email Address: full e-mail address
• Enter Password: passwords are case sensitive
• Click create and next
• Choose IMAP or POP at top
• Mail Server (IMAP users): imap.popp.net
• Mail Server (POP users): pop.popp.net
• User name: full e-mail address
• Password: passwords are case sensitive
• Click Next
• Enter port (IMAP users): 993
• Enter port (POP users): 995
• Check box: Use SSL
• Click Next
• Enter SMTP Server: smtp.popp.net
• Click create
• Enter Port: 465
• Click Create
